The Aldwark Manor Spa Hotel, Alne, Near York

Studio Map are excited to be involved in alterations to and the  extension of Aldwark Manor Hotel.  This is an on-going project that will include new build accommodation, a new build spa and health facility,  golf club, restaurant and wedding venue, as well as the complete renovation of all existing facilities.   Work commenced on site December 2019 and will be carried out over a three year period.  The images below show the completed wedding venue, the proposed spa and the newly completed wedding garden.

Roomzzz  Aparthotel, York  completed December 2019

A 97-bedroom aparthotel located on Terry Avenue, next to the river  in York City Centre.     
Studio Map are keen to promote sustainable technology and  have therefore used cross laminated timber (CLT) as a modern, 
sustainable alternative to traditional construction materials.


Aberford Court, Leeds

A high-end family dwelling with pool, gymnasium and extensive landscaping completed December 2019.  A sweeping stair and gallery adds light and drama to the double height entrance hall. The interior spaces are well connected to the external spaces with all main living spaces and bedrooms opening out onto a series of terraces at different levels.

The Oval

A 19th century property, sensitively restored from flats to a family home, The Oval has been remodeled and extended to include a large kitchen-dining-family room appropriate to modern family needs. In addition, it has  future proofed against changing requirements with a new glass lift and central stair that are naturally lit by a new roof lantern.
